When the idea of starting my own clothing line first popped into my head, I knew I wanted to work with the fabrics I love most: soft, organic, and, above all, natural materials. And with unique designs and styles that are timeless yet modern. I think I've managed to pull it off ;)

New Angels: A Fashion Brand with a Heart for Nature
New Angels is a fashion brand with a warm heart for the planet. We only work with eco-friendly fabrics like bamboo, hemp, Tencel, ramie, modal, and GOTS-certified organic cotton. Only the best and purest materials are used. This was quite a journey to find, because apparently, sustainable fabrics aren't that easy to come by just yet.
All the clothing is super comfortable, perfect for everything from a cozy night in on the couch to vacation or a night out. Exactly how I like to wear them! I mean, let’s be honest, that’s the best part of having your own clothing brand, right? A wardrobe full of your favorite clothes!

New Angels is a kind brand. Kind to the earth, kind to people, kind to animals, and kind to you. New Angels supports Sea First, an organization dedicated to the ocean and marine life. We’re both working toward a better world, so a portion of the profits goes to the Sea First Foundation.
Sustainable and Thoughtful Details
To make the clothing recognizable and extra special, all items come with a luxurious metal New Angels nameplate. It adds a touch of luxury, matching the vibe of New Angels.
Washing labels are mandatory in clothes, but why do they always feel so scratchy and irritating on your neck? Super annoying! Then you cut them out, and more than once I've (oops) accidentally snipped a hole in my new shirt... so dumb!
Do you recognize this problem? Exactly why our washing labels are made from soft satin, sewn into the inner seam, so you don't have to worry about irritating labels. There are no labels on the neck, so nothing needs to be cut out.
The clothing tags are made from recycled paper, embossed for a luxurious look without needing ink. Sustainable and stylish!
A Sustainable Clothing Brand from Dutch Soil
Sustainability is a core value at New Angels. Even for the packaging, tags, and website, I chose the most sustainable options. Fabric scraps are never thrown away but are reused, and we work in small batches to ensure there’s never excess stock.
New Angels operates zero waste, loves recycling, and is plastic-free down to the smallest detail. All fabric remnants are kept and reworked into small gifts like hair accessories.
The majority of production happens in the Netherlands, so it’s local production. We're open and transparent, and I write blogs to give you a behind-the-scenes look.
The designs are timeless, so you’ll be able to wear them even in 10 years.

Let me introduce myself – the face behind New Angels
My name is Ingrid de Haan, and I’m the owner of New Angels. My love for nature really shines through in the clothing: natural, organic, eco-friendly, and animal-friendly.
I design all the pieces myself and make a large part of the collection in my home-based sewing studio. I also worked with custom-made clothing for a while, but I eventually had to stop due to the many hours it took to make each piece.
I’ve always made a lot of clothes for my kids and myself. My mom used to sew a lot, too, so it kind of came naturally. Now I design and make clothes that I sell.
It’s really a dream come true: I’ve started my own clothing brand, and now others are wearing my clothes. I’m so incredibly proud of this!
It’s also great to see that the clothes are well-received, because that’s always a bit nerve-wracking. Especially when you’re making unique designs that aren’t exactly the “standard.” It’s that uniqueness, that little bit of something different, that makes New Angels stand out from the crowd.
New Angels Supports the Sea First Foundation
I mentioned this before, but I’d love to share a bit more about it. New Angels donates to the Sea First Foundation, a Dutch organization that focuses on ocean conservation and marine life. Sea First organizes lectures and provides lessons in schools. I personally know the founders through a lecture and a vegan fair. I wrote about how this connection started in this blog about Sea First.
If you’d like to support them too, it’s easy to do so through a donation or by buying books or one of their handmade jewelry pieces (which would look great with your New Angels outfit!). Take a look at their website. “Sea First educates to protect the ocean.”
What Else Can You Expect from New Angels?
Right now, I’m only making clothing, but soon I’ll be adding accessories like bags and scarves, which are currently in the works. I have so many ideas; it’s so fun to be so creative. There are loads of samples ready that will be tested thoroughly before they hit production and go on sale.
There will also be regular blog posts, so if you want to know more about sustainable, fair, and vegan fashion, keep an eye on our website. I’ll also give you regular glimpses behind the scenes, so you can see what’s going on. I love this transparency with my customers. No secrets behind closed doors ;)
